A Fun Day With Brent, Amanda and Makenna

Sunday October 15th we spent the afternoon with Brent, Amanda and Makenna! We had a blast!

First we sat and talked in the living room and then we went to eat...Chris and I had already eaten, but we went to O'Charles after trying to go to Chilis first(it was packed).

Then we went to the apple Orchard and had a good time, we seen the goats and tried some apple donuts and had apple cider slushies, which don't sound good, but it was YUMMY!

Then we went back to Brent and Amandas and Chris and I shared feeding Makenna responsibilities! It was awesome!

The best part is, Brent and amanda asked us to be Makenna's GodParents! Which ofcourse we accepted, but it took us a little while to proess, I asked Chris, did they mean both of us? We are so happy and excited and we never saw it coming! yippy skippy!

Go here to see all the pictures and videos from our visit!

hanging Out With Casi, Austin and Devon

Casi, Austin and Devon all came over on Friday the 6th to hang out. Casi worked on her stockings she's making for the boys--- which they are big enough to actually put devon inside of!

I mainly played with Devon and Austin and Chris did their boy things and played with bo jack.

See the pictures.

I got a really cool video of Devon - holding his own bottles now! (Sometimes!) Here is one:

Whew!

Whew- it feels like I am always writing a post about how long it's been since we've posted before! Again, we haven't really been up to too much lately! Just working and school and hanging out not doing anything exciting!

We did recently have my family over to watch the Colts game September 24th and I just got the pictures uploaded! So go here to see them!

Yeah, those are our middle neices! So annoy...adorable...but we love them that much more! ray-ray's reading her new book and Ashley is just being plain cute. We love these girls so much and wish we could see them more often---speed team meets should be starting soon so we'll go see them then.

Here's all the food we made for everyone coming over, of course, we planned for 11 people, but then Shane had family in town and Kristina's friend ended up not coming, (though he never said he was going too) so we made a little too much food!

I'll have pictures from Grandmas Birthday once Kristina emails them to me--- so email them to me kris! Thanks!

Colts Game Baby!

That's right! We were there on Sebtember 17th, watching the Colts destroy the Texans!

We had a blast! Before the game we ate Lunch at Bob Evans with Mom and Dad.

It was some yummy food and good Makenna Mae talking time. Cathy had a picture Makenna on her shirt that said, "Grandma's Peanut". How Cute.

But going back to the game now! It was GREAT! Here's funny man- Guy One- trying to do a handstand! He was hilarious the entire game.

Meet Our New Car

My 1984 celebrity hit a snag last week when the brakes went out on me! I didn't get in a wreck, but it was still pretty scary! That car is at the shop and will cost too much to make me feel safe in it again.

Chris and I spent the whole week trying to find a good, nice looking car with a price we could afford...well, that didn't exactly happen. Anyone who knows Chris, knows he needs to have the most expensive thing he can find.

Ok, he didn't find the most expensive this time, but it was the most expensive out of all that we were looking for...and as much as I hate to admit it... I like it!

Chris Meets 2 Colts Cheerleaders!

Chris said that the black guy on the right is the bodyguard. And he told them when they asked for a picture not to touch below the waist. If you want to put your arm around them, it has to be over their shoulders. Mitch, Chris' buddy from work standing next to him asked, "what happens if our hand slips?' the bodyguard told him, "if it slips, then you're eating pavement."

Chris was so excited about getting to see the cheerleaders! Hr also got their autographs, which I hope to scan and post in a few minutes- if I can get the scanner hooked up. It may have to wait till Chris gets home.

Chris also said they guy in the red shirt behind them had a table set up and was giving a-way free hotdogs, chips and waters to everyone. Oh, they are at some golf outing for the Better Business Bureau. So they were trying to drum up business.

Makenna Mae!

Here is the lovely Makenna Mae we've all been waiting for!

She was born September 2nd and is a story that makes childbirth sound so easy... "...only took an hour and 30 minutes from check-in time to have her..."

Makenna and company was home by noon on Labor Day (the 4th) when Uncle Chris and Aunt Lara went over to visit with the family.

Let me just say- This girl is adorable already! And you can see just how much so by looking at the pictures we took of her here ---> Makenna Mae

Sorry It's Been Awhile!

Sorry it's been awhile since w've posted anything. We're very busy these last few weeks of summer! Vacations pictres will be up as soon as we stop running long enough for me to load them. Chris and I left our camera at home, so we are borrowing Cathy's photos to show everyone! Hope you like them...once I get them up!

We are in the process of re-doing the little bedroom upstairs and making it an office. Chris dosen't have a lot of spare time so it's mainly been on me to do it when I can, I just got around to starting it last night. It don't seem so hard, He'll have to do the high stuff though.

Chris is away for wok this weekend. He left on Saturday and went to Ft. Wayne. There we met another saleman (Mitch) and a couple other guys and they went to Wisconsin (I think) to get a tour of the Generac plant. (Generators) The generator guys gave him a ton of free stuff and they got to go check out a race of somekind- I'm not quite sure which or what- though I think it was cars.

He's Back!

BoJack is back. We picked him up from the Kokomo Humane Society on the 10th! He has Kennel Cough pretty bad and a deep-green runny nose! It's so gross he is getting his boogies everywhere! But he's safe and sound an spent about 45 minutes chasing me while I pushed mowd the front yard yesterday and has chased all of us on the dirtbikes. He seems to like tires a lot more now though, usually he just stayed behind you, now he runs right in front of you! But We're happy because we missed our baby and now he's home.

We may have found Bo-Jack!

I think we may have found Bo-Jack. He has been missing since August 3rd.

I let him out to chase me on the mower, which I couldn't get started. I came back in the house to call Chris and wait for him to call me back. When I went back out- Bo-Jack was gone.

Chris went to all the neighbors and asked if they had seen him. One said they thought they saw him chasing a deer. So Yesterday I called the Humane Society in Tipton County- which is closed due to lack of funding. So I called the commissioner, closed for lack of funding. So I called the Auditors office, who told me to call the Sheriffs office, since they are acting as a holding cell for animals right now aswell. I called the Sheriffs Dept. and they only had three dogs and Bo-Jack wasn't one of them. BoJack did NOT have his collar on when he ran off or it would have been easy for someone to call us. So they said to call the Kokomo Humane Society. I thought that was dumb, we live in Tipton County, why would Howard County have come get him!?! But I went to the Kokomo location anyway and I thought this dog was him right when I saw him, but then I thought the white spot was really high on his neck and then I saw the kennel said "NOTIFIED, Has Chip." So then I knew it wasn't him, cuz Bojack has no chip.

I went right to work after that and it was really bothering me, because it acted like my dog an looked like my dog. So I called back and asked if they were sure that dog had a chip. The lady came back and said that note was from the last dog in the kennel and this dog has no chip!

So I'm going today to get him, because I have a picture that clearly shows BoJacks spot was rather low.

July 1st- Strong Man Competition

Chris was so great! I mean he totally stomped all over those competitors! So what he didn't actually sign up. Man, he carried those weight and tires around like it was nothing... using his forklift! He was the official forklift guy bringing the crazy machinery all the way from Ft. Wayne to kokomo to help out. And this year, things moved along a lot more quickly and smoothly than they did last year trying to get the course set up again for the next guy.

I had a blast watching the show. I really, really did not like the log pumping thing...sorry I forgot what its called but you'll see in the pictures they have those white tubes with thier hands inside pulling it over thier heads. Yeah one guy actually fell backwards and did a back flip. I thought one of them was going to break their backs or it was going to fall on thier head...I did not like it. My hand was to my mouth the entire time and my eyes were buggeyed!

But it was a lot of fun. Sorry it took so long to get it posted!

Dinner with Friends!

June 30th

Chris and I had dinner with an amazing, yes, AMAZING couple - NEWLYWEDS JAMIE AND GREG HAMILTON! They litterally just got married the friday before we had dinner- June 23rd!

Greg cooked Salmon and Steak, Jamie made Corn on the Cob, macaroni and cheese and the best cream/fruit desert ever! We sat around the table and had great conversations! We talked about how they met, what his job is (this is the first we met him, but we totally loved him! - Jamie deserves him!) anywho- They are both teaching at Indiana University - Kokomo and he also designs web sites for Nascar.

Very interesting couple that we can't wait to hang out with again. We also watched FAILURE to LAUNCH with one of my Favorite actresses- Sarah Jessica Parker! It was funny, you should rent it!

Dance Ministry

I am part of the Dance Minsistry at Church. I use to be more involved, but work scheduling conflicts put the dance team on hold. Now I'm hopefully back as things were getting steady at work, and now a curve- rotating schedules. The team has already done this dancce, but lost a few members for this performance due to other obligations. So I am learning - it with only two practices so far and only two more left before the July 17th performance. Here is a clip of how I am doing now:

Father's Day at Kings Island

In the early hours of Father's Day this year we ate breakfast in Indianapolis with Darrell, Chris' dad and then we went on to Ohio and spent Father's Day with our brother in law Shane and my brother, Brother or Little James as other people call him. Above is a picture of Chris and I with my brother and his family.

I was trying to get a picture o Devon on his first ride but silly austin kept putting his face in the way! But the picture turned out way - adorable!

BoJacks Day at the Lake

Click the picture below to view all the pictures.

We took BoJack to the lake for the first time this past weekend, Chris and BoJack had a BLAST playing in the water. The cameras batteries died right before BoJack actually got into the water. It was so funny watching him jump around like, "Oh my gosh! Where did the ground go?" Chris was like, "is he a deer or a dog?"

Here is a video clip of BoJack and Chris on the dock:

Chris and I played frisbee and catch with BoJack while we waited for them two to dry off. After that I had to rush off the work and Chris came home to rest, the boys were tired after all the playing.

No Swinging Around Today

I can't be outside having a blast in this beautiful weather on my day off because I'm sick! My allergies are acting up like something awfull. I can't stand up with out feeling light headed, I can't lay down with out my nose running non-stop.

It's just going to be a miserable morning. Hopefully, I'll be feeling better by this afternoon. Then I get to be sick all over again, because I'll have to mow the church yard if I get to feeling better, and then my allergies will be right back into play.

Please pray that my body's natural reaction will just pass quickly!

Chris should be getting more details about his new position today! I'll let him post the news when he gets it. He's been debating on if this is the right move for him. But I think he landed on the thought, "I'm maxed out as far as I can go in service". So we'll have to wait and see if he takes it or not.

Looking to the Future

Lara took the Writing/Reading Asset test at DACC-

Danville Area Community College - this morning!

Still unsure of what I will decide to study, I am going to stick with General Studies for the moment and hopefully
I'll get-a-clue about what I wanna study.

Chris had his 2nd interview for the Sales job available at Brehob - Ft. Wayne today.

He is really excited about this oppurtunity and was offered the job!

He'll meet with the "big guys" again next week to discuss moving him into this new role.

We'll keep you updated as he goes on a 6 month trial run of the job.

If things don't work out- he can slide right back into his service job.
