This Weeeeeeekeeeeend!!!

I am excited to report that I do not have any classes next week for the Holidays! Still have to work, but hey I'll take a break anywhere I can get it at this point. I'm now rockin' the Ivy Tech gear...A navy polo and a black sweatshirt both with a green Ivy Tech logo...hahaha

So the weekend! I'm excited because tomorrow is my FAIRSHARE Day. It's my paid day off for giving one hour pay every payday to the United Way. I was originally going to go on the book club field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry with the school. But now I'm still riding the bus down there, but Chris is taking a vacation day, and we decided to have Isabella sneak away from school for A DAY OF LEARNING at the museum also. Chris and her will be driving down behind the bus. After we are done at the museum we are going to do one more thing in Chicago (I can't say just yet:)

Then we are going to spend the night at my momma's house to get our tree ornaments, and get us some Monicals. And around Noon on Saturday we are going to Brent and Amanda's to hang out with them and Makenna. Who knows what we'll do while were there....Brent thinks we might be able to get bowling lanes. :)

Thanksgiving = Christmas Trees!

Thanksgiving time means it's time to put up the tree. Usually we would not be putting it up till the day after Thanksgiving, but it is new and it was in the trunk of my car, and we had to take it out if we want to get our ornaments this weekend....which we do.

I'm not going to show you the whole tree just yet because it has no lights or pretties at all. But the tree is too tall for the apartment!! We can't put the top on the tree. It just kind of cuts off.

I love Her!

This is Emmy Rossum she has been in several movies and I recently saw her on a talk show rerun singing and this morning I was thinking about the song she was singing and well, I found it. Thought I'd share it.

Yay! THe COlts Win!

Party on, the Colts won! And I finished one of two parts of my English homework! Isabela and I are watching The Notebook. Chris is making Taco-Topped Potatoes for dinner. They are YUMMY! I'm surprised we have waited so long to have them again. Isabela can not wait to try them.

We had a SKIDAZZLE of a Time!

Check Spelling

Saturday was a good time shopping with Isabela! We went to the GoodWill, Walgreens for makeup, WalMart and CVS for cards. I got some visibly used brown shoes, but I think they still got a lot of miles left on them, and these pretty hot pink shoes! Not the best winter shoes, but they'll be fun in the summer. I also bought three skirts for a buck fifty each. This one is my favorite!

Sunday we went to Chicago for SKIDAZZLE, AKA Ski and Board Expo. It was a blast! Before we left the house we made sure we were plenty warm for the cold that awaitedus out the front door.

Then we walked around a few of the exibit booths and rested to watch the BMX performance. If you are like us, and asking why BMX at a ski & board convention...well it is because the athletes have the same "live for the game" spirit about them. Which is pretty cool. It was a nice show.

Next we saw a few more booths, checked out the clearance section of snow goods. Still expensive even at 70% off. There were some booths that had snow boards for over $1,000! Talk about a serious snowboarder.

Then we headed over to the Free Video Games! Where Chris and I got to play the Wii for the first time. Of course it was skiing, and it was Fa-UHNN. Then we walked around some more, got free lift tickets for our ski trip this winter and found our way to CHIPOTLE, for awesome Mexican and yummy lime chips.

Here I am playing-trying to play the Wii... I look like a dork!

Video Catch-Up!

I have finally loaded the video clips from the camera! Here you go:

Here is the Tour that Isabela went on while at Niagara Falls.

This is the tour that I went on.

Here is Isabela singing with other Brazilian girls at a lunch stop.

Here is a german boy throwing a grape into the air and catching it.

All of us on the horse drawn wagon ride at Billy Creek Village.

Isabela's Chorale Performance - she is in the second row on the right hand side.

Here she is on the bottom right.

Chris taking dad's motorcycle out for a spin.

Chris returning from his trip.

Rachel's Performance. She is the second person in the middle row.

The last part of Rachel's performance.

Superman = Chris

Wednesday night I had class, which left Chris to attend the Soccer Banquet with Isabella. He was already in bed when I got home from class, but Isabela told me that he saved the night at the banquet! Apparently there was technical difficulties with the PowerPoint equipment and he was the one to go over there and get it all working correctly. Kudos to Chris!

I got my last essay back for my English class. I got a 97%! This time the teacher did not write any comments on the paper like she did the last one, "playing devils advocate" she said. I lost 30 points on my previous one and asked her what exactly warrants 30 points? And she said couldn't answer so she gave me 10 points back and then 5 extra credit points. So this paper I am much happier with. I got another 100% on my Math test for the last chapter. Who knew I would actually like Advanced Algebra!?!

Did You Vote?

Because this county does not give I VOTED stickers, Chris and I made our own when we got home form the polls this morning.

Chris wore his on his way to Michigan for work today. We went very early this morning, I was the 4th and Chris was the 5th in line. By the time I was done voting, there was over 20 people sitting in the chairs waiting.

A Colts Win to Top off a Great Weekend!

So Friday was Halloween and Trick or Treat night in MC. Isabela went home from school with Taylor and they went trick-or-treating in her neighborhood. I had to work till 6:15 and trick or treating ended at 7 so I didn't even bother buying any candy to hand out this year. You do however have to check out Isabela's Halloween pictures when she gets them posted, the girls looked SPOOOOOKY...
Chris and I picked ISabela up at Taylor's house around 8:15. Then we went and grabbed some Jimmy John's (our first time taking Isabela there, can you believe it was just her first time getting it?) Anyway... we went to see EAGLE EYE on the 5Buck Club list and Chris and ISabela got to see that I do have a third 5buck Club card that says "FOREIGN EXCHANGE" as the name! haha... So the movie was really good, you should see it, and perhaps you can tell us if we missed what happened to the military guy that fell in the water, then got pulled out by the girl, does he die- does he get an award and we just missed him..???
Saturday I had to work till 1:15. It was weird because Carrie got a flat tire and I had to open the store by myself! I was not really that scared, but I was thinking "OMG if someone is in here hiding then they are going to torture me to death because I really do not have the first half of the vault combo!" All I could do till she got there was tell people "I'm sorry there has been an emergency, but someone is on there way. You can go to the Hwy20 branch down the road." But all was good, she got there shortly and that was that.
I came home from work expecting to go get some grub on our way out of town, but nope. Chris is such a cook genius...He pulled the stuff I bought too much of and made Potato Soup. Yum! I had an extra ham steak in the freezer, celery from when I made a DEE-LICIOUS Roast this week, Potatoes because we always have potatoes and onions because, yeah well we always have those too. And the milk was going to expire in two days... It was gooood. I love when he makes that soup.
Then we went to Danville, Mom bought some PAPA Murphy's pizza w/ cheesy bread and cinn sticks. It is always good. We eat some kind of pizza every time we go there. Usually it is Monicals, because it's the best. Then we watched TV and later played WORST CASE SCENARIO, SURVIVAL GAME. Chris and I were on a team, Mom and Bela were on a team. Chris and I were kicking butt and taking names, but then the tides shifted and mom and Bela made a comeback, and won by two spaces. CONGRATS you two!

We're putting our heads together for maximum brain power.

So I said I wouldn't post these, but just one...

Sunday Morning we all just hung around the house at first. Isabela woke up at 9 instead of 10 because of the time change. :) Dad let Chris take his new bike out for a spin. Dad traded in his Harley Roadster for.....this....

I'm ready to go start my day....

Mom took me to see Aunt Marianne's new house. It's very pretty as you can see.

Grandma came over for lunch after church. Kristina and I bailed early to pick Rachel up for her Ice Skating Performance.

70 Degrees outside, and there is REAL snow.... okay so it's from the Civic Center, but hey...

Kristina amazingly gets Rachel's short hair into a micro bun.
I knew them as the Danville Wings, now they are Danville Inferno. The hockey game was a blast, there was one big fight, and about 4 good smaller fights. But Danville Lost 2-8.

Rachel's Skate team performed during the first intermission.

Which means she got to sit with us for the rest of the game.

During the second intermission we played CHUCKAPUCK. okay Chuck-A-Puck. Here Bela is getting a little closer to throw it onto the ice. You want to get it as close to the center of the ice as you can.

LOOK at all those pucks! None of us won though, it was some one's Grandpa.
Rachel is an Einstein/Zombie after she took her well hair sprayed bun down.
We left for home right after the game to try and get back for the start of the COLTS game. We missed the first 20 minutes or so - real time, so not much of the actual game. The colts win was a perfect end to a fun weekend.
