Number 200!

This is our 200th blog post! WooHoo!

I really don't have any real news but I wanted to share my newest sewing adventure....

I made a 'case' for my cell phone! I really do not like the phone all that much, but I'm stuck it with for now.... yeah they make the Pantech c150 look soooo cool on the website, it really kinda sucks. So don't believe the hype y'all.

Fun, Fun

I bought some steaks from Save-A-Lot this week and Chris cooked them on the grill Friday. I lounged around on the couch while Chris also made Mashed potatoes... don't think I'm lazy, it was his night to cook. The steaks were YUMMY. Chris knows how to cook 'em!

Saturday Chris did a lot! He got his hair cut, got his oil changed and cleaned the house. I had to work until 1, after that we made our way to Danville. We went out to eat with mom, dad and Grandma in Eugene, IN. There is a fun little restaurant called Covered Bridge Restaurant. Here Chris and I are walking across the Bridge.

This is what Chris does to entertain himself while he drives.

I bought some new mineral concealer and I wanted to make sure it blends. I actually have no base makeup on in this picture. Just concealer in a few spots...like under my dark eyes!

For mothers day we were going to go fishing. It was raining and windy, we decided to just stay in. The girls spent the night at Grandma's with us when we woke up we all watched Nancy Drew. Then we got ready to go to Monicals and met up with Kristina and Vicki (Dustin's mom). Check out the Girls' site to see their new hair cuts.

Next Week...

A whole new layout! Finally!

...Work call?

Kudos to Chris!

Chris deserves some major Kudos for his discovering of a 1/2 a mil error on the employees cell phone bills. The VP thought Chris was nit-picking the whole thing, but after the financial team looked over the bills, the overage was going to cost the department 500K more than what it should have paid. So Chris gets an Atta-Boy!

Saturday we cleared out the boxes in one of the guest rooms. There is just an extra dresser in there that we need to find a spot for. The room is already set up but we will be pulling that stuff out while we paint the walls soon. I think we will be in Kokomo this weekend working on that house. We were thinking about replacing the cabinets in the kitchen, but we are going to see if there is a paint we can use on them and then just replace the counter top. I'll be stripping more wall paper off the ceiling in the upstairs bedroom. We are hoping that the grass has not grown too much, or Chris will be mowing that too.

This is the last week of classes! I have a class this morning and tonight. Tonight is my Spanish Final... wish me luck... Thursday night is my EDU Final... I got 20 out of 2o on both portfolios I turned in last week! My last one is due before the test on Thursday. If I get a 17 at the lowest on this portfolio, I still have a 4 point cushion on the final to keep my A. Of course, if I get a 20- then I'll have an even more cushier, cushion for the final. Thanks again Rachel for being my portfolio child.

Chris just booked his plane tickets last night for Buffalo, NY. He leaves on the 20Th and will be home on the 22ND. I have to drive to Mishawaka on Tuesday next week for training at the bank... I'm gonna learn how to get referrals. I have to take this class even though I am staying only one or two behind the full-timers each month....and I'm only working 20 hours compared to their 40. Perhaps they see I got something and they want to improve it..?? I don't want to go, because A. I don't like the drive to Mishawaka, and B. I hate to see them waste training money on me because I'm really looking forward to substitute teaching in August. I'm just not telling them yet. I thought Mid-June would be good. That will give them two weeks to find someone, and two weeks to get them trained.

Well, I better get my portfolio done so I won't have to cram it in later... I still need to grocery shop today too! MMM-MMM-MMM Chris and I teamed up to make Kristina's Hot Wings last night for Dinner.... We had Steamed Veggies with cheese and Hot Wings... yum right? Anyway.. they we're good.

Internet! Rocks When It Works,

and stinks when it don't!

Friday night Chris and I decided to try our luck at the casino one more time. But first, we had dinner at Hacienda with Greg from Sullair. I've decided that the only thing I really like eating from there is the cheese soup. Nothing else has the flavors I like. El Bracero it is from here on out...unless I really want some Cheese Soup. Luck was not on our side this time at the casino, We went in with $15 and came out with only $.01. So good news is ... we only lost $14.99!

I had to work Saturday morning and Chris did a little work in the office until the security guard kept sitting down to talk to him, but hey now Chris knows that the guard was born on the SouthShore. That's pretty fun. We left for Kokomo after lunch on Saturday. We stopped at Menard's and then Lowe's for supplies. Next, we went to Olive Garden- YUMMY, YUMMY! OG is a treat for us now since there are none here.

Between Sat and Sunday Chris mowed the yard, I got all but the ceiling ready for painting in the small office and we made our way back to lowes on our way home to price cabinets. Now we have to decided if the investments are going to pay off, should we do them. We are also talking about having the walls in the small bedroom knocked out, expanding the bathroom and making a walkin closet for the master bedroom.

Today was about as Monday-E and Monday's get. The systems were down at the bank... internet banking and teller lines were (and still are tonight) down. It was chaos because we any one depositing cash we had to tell them that it won't be available right away today and if they are going to purchase things they should hold on to it. Most were okay with it, others threw a fit.... "I have a bill I have to pay over the phone... We couldn't sell purchase products and go figure- about 7 people wanted Money orders or Cashier checks and one person wanted traveler's checks. It was pure chaos. I heard a lot of, "maybe I need a new bank...." it got the point where I was just thinking, Yup, I'm all torn up, take your 5 bucks and go. And now, Chris is still at work at 7:15 tonight for some Ace meeting thing. He keeps calling to give me updates on when he thinks they will be done. Hopefully soon, I'm hungry!
