Thank You, Thank You - the 4.0 remains active. This Spring semester might prove to be more difficult as I have to do lesson plans, classroom observations, and I have the absolute, most toughest English teacher in the region. I barely squeaked by with an A the last time I had her, and it is very difficult to earn an A in her class.

Registered!

I am officially registered and paid-in-full for the Spring Semester! My upcoming classes are:

Math 127 - Math For Elementary Teachers II - 1st 8 week Hybrid
Math 128 - Math For Elementary Teacher III - 2nd 8 week Hybrid
Educ 230 - The Exceptional Child
Engl 240 - Children's Literature

I am registered, but have not paid for my summer class which is Educ 130 - Intro to Multicultural Teaching (Don't ask how I managed to completely skip this level 100 course, but I did!)

Weekend Fun!

Saturday after I got off work Chris and I headed to Indy to meet up with Kristina, Dustin, Rachel, Ashley and Mom, Casi, Austin and Devon! We got a room at the Holiday Inn with the Carribean Cove waterpark and had a blast. I'll post pictures next week.

Colts Game Woot!

So, we went to the last of our ticketed Colts games yesterday and it was a blast! We went with Chris' Cousin Julie and her hubby Brad. I'll post pictures next week when I get my camera back from Chris!

This was a big win for the Colts as they are still undefeated, they now hold the record for most consecutive regular season wins in a row (woot!), and they secured home-field advantage for the playoffs!

We ate sliders from White Castle before the game, and there were no tables, and it was chilly outside, so we just stood in the middle of the restaurant and chowed down. Tables are overrated anyways right?

A B?

Took my math test last night - last one before the final next week - waited for my grade. 89% B! I don't accept B's and you want to know the real kicker!?! One question asked if a problem is "communative" Now I know it is Commutative - I just assumed it was a slip of the fingers, a typo, a wire didn't connect in translation type of thing - but NO - it was a "trick" question worth 5 points. I don't understand why instructors feel like they have to try and pull a fast one on the students, LOSERS! He's messing with my 4.0, I am NOT happy.

Company, Company!

Since Dad had to work on the Monday we got home from vacation - we just drove his truck home to MC. Saturday Mom and Dad came up (and over) to pick it up. We watched a little TV, I made my Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes and Veggies for dinner. After dinner we quickly made our way to the Blue Chip Casino for some gambling (the ultimate family bonding thing-to-do,) and then home where we talked for a bit and then went to bed around 11:30. (That's a really late night for us!)

For breakfast we made a knock of the Gypsy from Peep's and serve it with scrambled eggs. Then the boys went to check out Chris' office while mom and I cleaned up, and then went to shopping for Toy Drive toys.

When mom and I got home Chris had dad watching The Duttons (yes, just like gma and gpa West) It is a really fabulous show, we love sharing it too, and maybe one day we'll get to see the show live, and not on a copy from the grandparents. :)

GUY Fieri ROAD SHOW!

Dude ROCKS! We had so much fun last night in Chicago at the Guy Fieri Road Show. So much more than a cooking show! Wish you all could have been there, because there are just not enough words to describe how freaking awesome it was.

This Below is not from the Chicago stop last night, but there was an "a capella Karaoke" contest and a 10 year old girl ROCKED THE HOUSE with some TAYLOR SWIFT! Girl was a crazy rock star jumping up down, kicking the leg behind her, singing with her all she had.


And he had a whole lot of stories, surprisingly - the stories are not all the same because he did not tell this one to us, but the show was like this and it ROCKED - we can say this is definitely "Ain't Your Momma's Cooking Show"

New Orleans!

Whelp, here are the pictures from our recent trip to The Big Easy - New Orleans, Louisiana. We had a blast, thanks to everyone who offered suggestions on where to go and what to do...some we didn't get to - BUT - we had such an amazing time, we will def visit again!

The Quick Low Down: We arrived Saturday evening, took a shuttle to the Prytania Park Hotel (BTW - according to the hotel lobby shuttle ride should have been $27, we got "robbed" for $43 by the same company...not a good way to start vacation, but we didn't care we were in New Orleans!)

So we got familiar with the hotel a little then hit the streets for dinner at Zea's...OMG - DEEELICIOIS!


The first morning we walked to downtown instead of taking the streetcar. We walked a little downtown before venturing into some of the nearby parks that we passed on our way to DT.






After exploring some parks, we ventured on down to the Riverwalk where we took some photos and got a history lesson on the town, but mostly on the steam boats.

By the time we were done on the Riverwalk, Thom-Heidi-Matthew were just getting into town at their hotel. So we met them in the lobby, then we headed straight for the Aquarium.

We walked the French Quarter everyday we were there because there was just so much stuff We took a stroll down Bourbon St. in the early morning hours...they were power washing and scrubbing down the sidewalks...smelled like Lysol.

Matthew let's everyone knows what's up in his kitchen. He's too darn freakin' cute - look at that face.

So we shopped the Market for some sunglasses because it got really sunny, and our sunglasses were at the hotel. Now we are just checking ourselves out in them.

Love us some Jimmy B's. Margaritaville was a MUST on the lunch one day. Chris and I really enjoy a good Mushroom Burger from this joint when we go to Jamaica, had to get one here too.

Chris pimpin' little Matthew's hat that was specially made just for him.

Matthew got some beads from this statue...because he made him move! Matthew looked at him, walked around him, and then poked him in the face haha! We had to go to this same corner everyday because Matthew would say, "My Friend, My friend," when we got close to it. And everyday that guy played and posed for pictures with Matthew.

Haha! This dude was funny. We is just posing there like that forever. I think it was Thom who had just commented, "I bet he moves when someone tries to take his money," when a family walks up for a picture. They take the picture, put their money in the bucket, and then the boy sees money hanging out of the bucket. So he tries to flip it back in, and dude yells, "Don't touch it," Kid mumbles something then tries to flip it back in the bucket again. Dude tells again, "Don't touch it, if it ain't yours don't touch it. Your momma should have taught you that a long time ago, what do you need a lesson in not touching things that aren't yours?" Guy needs a new profession.

Thanks to another great suggestion by Matthew we took a Mule ride. He loved it. Check out the Corn Stalk fence! It's a cute story the driver told us about the guy putting up the fence to help his new bride from the corn-lands not feel so homesick when she married him and moved here with him. It's a hotel now.

Here we stopped at MardiGras World on our way out of town. Got to see lots of awesome characters and floaty designs.

On the train for the 17.5 hour trip home. It wasn't really that bad at all. I kinda liked it.
