Gary Railcats game

 

Katelyn loved, loved, loved getting to hang out with RAS CAL at the Gary Railcats game! We are certainly planning on going to more games in the future. The French students really enjoyed this American event, and Lisa bought a ball and was able to get some autographs after the game. =)

(I actually took another photo of them with the field behind them, but now that Chris's head is bald the light just shines right off it! Haha!)

Park Play with Lisa!

It took a little effort, but K was able to pull Lisa down the slide with her at the malls kiddie park. I think she is REALLY going to miss her. It always sucks to say "see you later", but it is always a day that has to come. =/ We loved, loved, having you here with us, LISA!

Hey, big lips!

 

Bad light, but Katelyn thought my huge purple play-dough lips were hysterical! Someday, I promise I'm going to make her more colors than just purple, haha.

Hacienda, Dinner.

 

Lisa expressed an interest in life as an American teenager, so I called on Ashlee to give her a night out! They went out shopping, and then we all met up at Hacienda for some American/Mexican food. Thanks Ashlee!

Steam Museum - Play Group - Play Date

Deep River and Water Play

I think Katelyn believes she is in summer heaven! We paid a visit to one of the local water parks, and had a great time. We still have season passes to another one near by that we have yet to visit!

Another Play Group- Play Date at the park. This time all the mommies brought buckets, balloons, and water toys for the babes to play with on this hot, hot day. The asphalt was so hot that if the kiddos stepped off the concrete on to it they would start crying from their feet burning. It was sooo sad to see them all start to cry while just seconds before they were laughing and chasing each other.

We were the last ones to pack up and leave, and K was telling me her car seat was tooo hot, and I decided she was right. So, we were heading to the grass to wait for the AC to cool things down when we heard the ice cream truck cruising into the lot... K chose Tweety Bird. (And shared some with me.)

Daddy's Day gift in full-swing

The Bruno Mars concert was awesome!

We had a great time singing and dancing - Thanks mom for driving up to babysit Katelyn.

Beach Party!

The Orientation meeting for the summer students was at...THE BEACH! We grabbed some KFC on our way out of town and had a little picnic at the beach for dinner after the meeting.

 

Katelyn loves, loves, loves the water- that's no secret...but she now loves the beach, too!

Too cute!!! Katelyn started playing with a group of children and this little boy took an extra special liking to her, the are playing with each others fingers in the sand...two little beach bunny love birds. (that can make sense somewhere, right?) I love her foot in the air!
