This is from April/May while we were overseas. It is Chris's beautiful rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle" which we call "Twankle, Twankle".
Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future.

I I've Got (10) Golden Ticket(s)...
...but it's never going to be the same.
Season tickets for the COLTS have arrived! Bleeding Blue, but already know the stadium is not going to be the same. Due to lack of interest, the seating upgrade actually went though this year- which means not only do we have to meet and grow with a whole new team, but also with all new "neighbors". I'm going to miss smiling to Chris and him responding with an eye roll when the kid behind us keeps kicking the seats because he'd rather be anywhere but at a football game. I'm going to miss looking over and seeing "SLEEPY" actually sleeping in his seat during the game. I'm going to miss high-fiving (?) Guy, young Jacob, and Ken in front of us. I'm going to miss the sound of the guy known only as "GLOVES" slapping his Colts Blue gloves together, and I'm going to miss my "neighbors" buying the opposing teams jersey off someone in the stadium and tearing it to shreds, but MOST of all... I'm going to miss my Family. Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Pierre Garcon, Jeff Saturday, Gary Bracket, Joseph Addai, Melvin Bullitt... and of course PEYTON MANNING and JEFF SATURDAY (Yes, I know I already listed them. I'm really going to miss them. Not because they win, but because they inspire.)
But NOW- Let's get this season started already... I want to talk some football smack!

Frozen Pizza Time
I had planned on making a Freezer Meal Day... but only got a partial batch of Pizza Dough rolled out. I don't remember what happened, but something came up, and I never got back to the kitchen. Anyway- I thought the pizza looked ultra-delish, so I really just wanted to show it off to you! MMM..mmm..mmm... Makes you want one right?

PA Trip
We headed out to PA for (Great) Gma & Gpa Beirne's 60th Wedding Anniversary.
Making a pit stop to spend about 4 hours at Niagara Falls.
She Loves Driving.
With Jamie who is her 1 day younger cousin.
TWINKIES!! Aunt Di bought the babies a bunch of goodies, and both girls showed up in the same outfit... (and we didn't plan it either!)
Inside my little girl is definitely a little bit of a TomBoy.
The best for last... to make a complete collection of "generation" photos.

Quit Hawk-ing Around
A couple weeks ago Chris finally "took-out" the mole that has been destroying our yard. It actually looked like it was on it's way out anyway, so I've convinced myself that he actually did the poor thing a favor. Anyway- He didn't do anything with the animal! He left it there. The last time he just left an animal where it lay I ended up having to scrape it up using tow pieces of cardboard (and that was at the house in Sharpsville).
So, I actually put "Get Rid of Dead Animal" on my to-do list for the day. Before I got out there, I noticed this nice Hawk on the patio who gladly swooped down and I watched as he carried that mole away from my yard. It was a good thing too, because I had no clue what I was going to with the dead thing. Bury it? Trash Can? Aw well. Not my problem no more.

A New Yummy Food
Katelyn has discovered the tastiness (hmm...) of the Avocado. We went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant in town (El Bracero) with our friends The Steffan's who vacation at the Dunes every year. Miss K was getting a bit fussy so we chopped up some Avocado for her to snack on, and she LOVED it. Guess I can finally throw another fruit into the mix.
At Nine Months she is eating:
Carrots, Peas, Green Beans, Sweet Potato, Broccoli
Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Bananas, Mango's, Plums, Avocado
Bits of Pasta, Rice, Cheese Puffs, Num-Nums
Ham
We are still waiting on that first tooth to come through, so we can mix things up a bit.
Chris finally broke out the Baby Bullet himself. He cooked and prepared a batch of carrots for the week. =) That Baby Bullet has come in super handy, but the storage jars that come with it have been even better. I love having the date dial right there.
