Makenna's Birthday Weekend!

And from two weekends ago...yes I'm a little behind - school, work, having a teenager- you know... but here we go....

First we stopped in Downtown Chicago to eat at Chipotle's. Then we went to O'Hare Airport to pick up Mom from the airport. She flew in for Makenna's bday bash.

We're on a mission to find her.

We're just waiting for her arrival.

Yummy-O, Starbucks!

Then we drove to Brent and Amanda's.

We went out to eat at Chili's.

Then we checked out a part of the UofI campus...

Including the bowling alley!

The birthday girl got a strike!!

Sunday morning we met my mom and sister at the mall in Champaign. We all ate from a different place!

When we left the mall, we showed Bela dad's semi and took her for a ride. She was surprised to find that truckers can see right into all of the cars below...

Then we made a fun stop at Curtis Orchard where we got a small gift for Bela's parents, and apple slushies and donuts.

Next, we tried to help get the balloons ready for the party....

Only a few balloons actually survived, many of them popped because we had no clue what we were doing. Some dogs with missing ears, crooked swords and a bunch of nothings floated around the yard.
We introduced Bela to Amanda's brother Chris, and he introduced her to what she has wanted since before she got here...GUITAR HERO!

She totally rocked it.
Then Chris gave it a try.

You had no clue I could play did you.... good because I can't, I scored very, very low.

Time for cake and gifts.

We got her the bowling set below.

Grandma West gave her the Trike.

And even Chris got a little celebration of is own. Thanks guys. you rock!

Anything COLTS and he is happy!

COLTS GAME update to come later...I got homework for class in one hour to finish.
