SUPERBOWL!!!!!!

Colts are going to the SUPERBOWL BABY!!!!!!!

Going to.....Miami! Enjoy the Vids.

Casi and Shane's

Whoop! We went to see Casi and Shane's brand new house this weekend...and didn't take any pictures because there was just so much going on with the move-in process. The house is like a mansion - it is very big and roomie and very nice.

Chris really helped move, I did something equally as important and kept the boys busy and out of the way and out of the mud! As anyone who has seen a newly built house, there is no grass, and it was raining so the mud was horrible. We had to buy knee-high rubber boots!

But we had fun, and Austin - mom - Devon and I swan at the hotel for a little while, though we all wished the hot tub was working because the pool, pool was freezing, but we had fun for a few minutes anyway.

Book # 2: The Year of Fog

Today I selected to read, "The Year of Fog," by Michelle Richmond.
Finished book #1 for the new year.

Colts vs Ravens Playoff Game!

Went to the game - it rocked! Thanks again to Beth for thinking of us to buy their extra tickets. It's wonderful that not everybody feels the need to sell tickets to such a popular game for 4X's face value!

We met up with Nan and Greg who both work with Chris at the Stadium. In case you missed it - Colts Won 20-3, AND will face the NY Jets at 3pm on Sunday - I'm trying harder than ever to track down some tickets to this one - gonna be a blast! But, if not - we will enjoy it on TV just as equally.

Guess who scored some playoff tickets?
Thanks to the Wonderful Beth, We Did!!!
Let's go Colts!

New Year Resolution

I've been trying to finish my New Years Resolution list...It's not long or extremely tough, but I just want to be sure it fits what I want this year...
One thing I am certain about is that I want to read more than I did last year. I'm asking you (yes you,) to help hold me responsible! So, You'll notice on the sidebar I added a link list to keep track of what I have read this year. My goal is to read 2 books a month. So for the first half of January I have been reading "Fall of Light" by Nina Kiriki Hoffman. I'll post a short review when I am finished.... but if you notice me slacking, check up on me and help me stay on track this year.

Skype

We have our Skype accounts all set up and last night I talked to Isabela for thirty minutes, and said hello to her mom! If you have skype - hit us up, we'd love to video chat with you sometime.

The Upcoming Week

We have a few things coming up this week:
Monday: Lara's on-line class started.

Wednesday: Chris goes to Decatur for work.
Lara has her two face-to-face classes starting.

Thursday: Chris goes to Wisconsin for work.

Chris also confirmed that he will be going Las Vegas twice next month. Once right at the start, and again towards the end of the month.

Ski Trip

Ah, yes. Today is a day of stiff muscles and bruised ankles following an evening of skiing. It's actually a day I was looking forward to if you can imagine. We had such a GREAT time skiing Sunday, that the pain of today is totally worth it. Maybe we can some family and friends to visit for a short ski trip soon. (hint, hint)

There are no pictures, but I progressed to the bigger blue diamond hill this time. I don't think I'll attack the black diamond next time, but I guess you never know right?

...and I seem to fly down those hills! I try to do the techniques to slow myself down, and I feel like I'm going to crash and burn, so I choose to just speed....but I bet when I take a tumble- I'm really going to tumble hard at those speeds.

So who is with us next time?

Catching up Part 2

Well, here I am still catching up and falling behind all at the same time! First, I'd like to catch up with the day after the family Christmas party on the 19Th - with Ashley's Birthday Party! We originally were not staying this late in the day, but since we were still around for lunch we surprised her by showing up at the Civic Center for a few circles on the ice, some cake and juice. Hope you had a great bday Ashley.

Next on this catching up post, we have the West Family Christmas in Murfreesboro. Chris and I were actually not planning on going because I had to work...but...thankfully my boss remembered that we do Christmas at New Years and arranged the schedule to let me go!

So the entire family made it there for the Holiday - Mom and Dad, Thom, Heidi and Matthew, Brent, Amanda and Makenna and us. Chris and I got in at about 11:35 New Years Eve, so just in time to bring in the New Year with the family.

Friday, we opened Christmas gifts and went to Chuck E Cheese where Thom and Heidi bought lunch. Then the girls + Thom and Matthew went shopping while Dad, Chris, Brent and Makenna went home for naps. We all got gift cards from Thom and Heidi for Outback - so that's what we did for dinner.

Saturday, We got ready for family photos and ate a wonderful lunch prepared by Brent and Amanda. We ate leftovers for dinner and watched Avatar with Joey from across the street. Then came Sunday and it was time to go home. Back to reality.

Catching Up! Part One!

First things first. Kicking things off exactly where we left off from after the Colts game with Julie and Brad is Christopher's work trip to Thailand.

Chris wants everyone to know that it was very hot! Over 100 degrees each day. It was very westernized, English is the primary language for many, and he was excited to get a Big Mac that tasted exactly like a Big Mac in the U.S.

*******************************************************

Next, and lastly on this post for the night is a family Christmas. I had to work that morning/early afternoon. But we drove real fast to Aunt Marianne's house for the dinner with the cousins and we got to meet new baby Blaike - what a cutie pie! After dinner there we went to mom and dad's house to open gifts before Casi and Shane headed home with the boys.

Austin was super excited to get his Korean money from Uncle Chris! Chris had to go through and let him know -about- what the money converted to for US money. Devon got a lot of cool gifts including an entire set of Disney's Cars, cars and Cars bouncy balls - but the best gift of all was not a gift at all - it was the toothbrush Uncle Chris got off the plane! Once he heard it was from a plane he started flying the toothbrush around the house - so cute! More Pictures

Whew, Another Year...

Just passed us all up. Did anyone see where it went?

So I'm well aware that I have been very lacking in respect to updating the blog. I apologize - sometimes I just let life beat me up till all I want to do is nothing that I want to do. Hopefully now with the new year starting I can kick myself back into gear, and get this party going again!

I hope you like our new background. I need to shrink the middle a bit, but I really have to start dinner now too. I'm making chicken and noodles, and just checked the noodles I mixed, rolled and cut earlier today. Chicken is in the crock pot and ready to be eaten. Just a few more things to finish it all up, and then just wait for Chris to get home so we can eat.

There are so many things to update on that I will try to post them in one sitting this evening, or maybe on Thursday. I have LOTS of pictures to share as well. I have been loading them to walmart.com and ordering them all in prints. For some reason I just love having tangible photos. I think I just enjoy going through the boxes and boxes of pictures growing up at mom's house that I want that feeling with all these adult growings too! Which reminds me - Mom! Stephanie English wants a copy of the picture we got together at Graduation - can you see if it is at your house? I think those pictures are here (stuffed in a box haha), but thought I'd ask if you knew off hand.

I will post our New Year Resolutions later this week as well....or I should say mine at least - I'm not sure Chris really wants to think about his, lol.

TTYL -
