Race Pictures.

We had a blast!!!!

Memorial Weekend

I had to work on Saturday but the long weekend was still great! We drove to Danville after work and spent the night. In true Grandma Hall fashion, the girls and her did another experiment. The girls wanted to see the diet Pepsi explode from mentos. So here is is, shooting straight out of the bottle.

Sunday morning Chris, Dad and I headed to Indianapolis for the races. I was going to go to FT. Wayne with mom and the kids, but Chris insisted I go with them to the race and I did not think I could handle the trip with all them kids. So away to the race I went...sorry mom, don't hate me. (Race Pictures Posted above)

After the races, we drove to Casi and Shane's to see their new property. It just down the road from their current house. We had a camp fire, rode four wheelers, played yard games, walked in the woods and camped out in tents.

On Monday we played more yard games. Dad watched the girls and Devon while Mom and Chris went to get and made lunch (ribs, baked beans, corn on the cob and baked mac & Cheese.. YUMMY!) Shane and Austin were at the house and Casi and I went frog hunting down at their pond. We didn't catch anything, but I saw some very colorful fish down there. Later in the day before lunch, I took Rachel, Ashley, Austin, Devon and the two neighbor girls Kaitlyn and Courtney for a walk. We walked across the corn field so Austin could look for golf balls, (don't ask me) and then we walked to the school and played on the equipment. Then we walked around the corn field to the 'big bridge' on our way home. It was exciting trying to keep track of all those kids by myself. But I was surprised Devon walked the entire way, and when one of us tried to pick him up, he'd kick he feet to be put down. He must have been having fun walking on the field.

The Trouble With Redbox is...

too many freakin' people!

Yes, too many people, or too much business- however you want to look at it. I waited 15 minutes for one group of 4 to pick out three movies. All I wanted to do was return National Treasure 2. I mean they stood there and laughed at each other and talked about movies they had already seen. I mean I heard, "oh that was one Really good. --- yeah I liked it too, my favorite part was .... --- oh i know wasn't that great.." blah, blah, blah, 4 times. Then when they were finally done, they hit cancel instead of check out and had to start all over. Then once they remembered what they wanted, instead of sliding the card, getting the movies and getting out of the way. They stood there and dug for their change to pay the person with the card- before he would pay, he wanted his dollar seven right then. So Chris and I suggest two screens running out of the one machine. One labeled rude people, one labeled nice people. Because we're nice. Really we are, when we are looking for a movie and someone walks up with a return, we let them return it, or we ask "do you know what you want? Because we have no clue." ... "oh okay, well if you decide before we do just let us know." So to any redbox users, remember this post or you will be ....getting laser death rays shot into the back of your head by the person behind you....

We take our redboxing very seriously.... :)

Austin and Chris

Got a few minutes? Let me show what we've done...

Well, we started on our way to Peru for John Schultz's retirement Party. While we were in transit, we got a phone call from a couple that wants to buy our house in Kokomo. Chris pulled over to talk to them, you know excitement and everything. This made us even more late, but we figured it's a party any time is a good time.

Lot's of Food! Yummy.
Chris making his way inside the Apollo Banquet Hall.

Lot's of people, cool.

The Guest of Honor

Some of his stuff.

We had a good time at the party. We only stayed about 2 hours though... we had to get up early to mow the yard before the people came by to see the house. We sent mom a text picture of Chris and John. It said, Wish you were here!
*********************************************************************
After we left the party, we drove to Tipton and spent the night at Candice's house. She was in Detroit, but left it unlocked for us. We watched Law & Order before going to sleep. I woke up with major, major neck ache and a headache. Chris had to go outside at the 2 in the morning to get me some advil. It was terrible. I flet like there was so much pressure my ears were going to explode.
That morning I felt so much better! We spent 60 bucks on gas for the mower and then about 9 bucks on food and drinks. Then we headed to the house. I swept all the rooms, there was bits of junk left from the move and wallpaper and plaster from the walls and ceilings everywhere. So I made them pretty again. Chris was out on that mower in the freezing cold. Actually the temp was warm but the wind was fridgid. His hands were frozen when he got done. Needless to say, we didn't weed eat anything. The yard has these beautiful orange flowers, which I did not take any pictures of, but they are gorgeous. They look almost like they are made of paper.
The couple was coming over at 2pm to tour the house. We went to Lafayette to Cracker Barrel to meet with mom, Casi, Austin and Devon for brunch. The boys are so cute.

Devon Being Cute- He does not like the camera,

I got lots of shots of the back of his head.
Grandma tries to sneak in photo, but nope.

Austin shows off his Pirates Treasure Grandma bought him.

It's burried in this stone that says, dig it out.

Oh the fun to come later.
Austin has a trick for when he doesn't want to listen...
Yeah, I'm laughing at it.

...built in earplugs.

Another kinda picture of Devon.

There's Casi.

Wassssssuuuuupp

Austin just can't wait to find the gold.
Austin tries to fold my ear in.

******************************************************
After Brunch the boys, with their car seats and Casi squeezed into the back of the celica and rode all the way to Kokomo. We played at the house while we waited for the couple to come see the house and for Shane to come pick Casi and the boys up.
First thing, Find the Gold.

THis is gonna take a while!

Or maybe not when Uncle Chris decides to just rinse it all away with water...

Austin and I dance with Joy over the treasure chest we found.
Devon turns away..again

He tries to hide behind another picture, but I got him.

**********************************************************
So the couple arrives to see the house. Shortly after that Shane arrives to pick up his family. I walk around with Chris and the couple. They are loving the house. We go outside after 2 hours of touring and measuring and sit on the porch. They don't say anything, so we just make small talk. The lady says, "well you guys think about it and call us this week." I said you know what we are wanting and left it open and she said well I got 85,000 cash but will need to deduct for the repairs...so yeah, um.. no. Again she tells us to think about it and to call them. Chris was like, "They do know that they need to make us an offer if they want it, right .? So I guess we'll have to wait and see. It would have been way to easy to just be like, "yep, we got a deal." But I was hoping.
